Business Travel
This week was a long travel week for me. I was in Wichita, Kansas all week for a series of meetings with my teammates. It was good to see some old friends at work. We have team members from all over the world and I enjoy listening to their stories about the differences in their cultures. In the end, people are people wherever you go. The good news about being in Kansas was that that weather was very nice. It was over 90 degrees most days so that felt good. After the cold week I had at home the previous week the heat was welcomed. The bad news about being in Kansas is that there is no time to workout. The days are long ones sitting in meeting rooms and then followed by late night dinners. This leaves little time for yourself. I did manage to get in one run on Wednesday night.
Once the weekend began there was just so much to get caught up on. It was Dad’s birthday on Saturday so we drove to Brockville for some cake. We also got to visit the Hilborns for a short period of time. On Sunday I got to bike for an hour and it felt good to get active again.
I travelled a short 35 kms this week during my training.
See you at the finish line….
