A week of relaxation!!!
Jackie and I had a week of relaxation this past week. We were aboard a cruise ship in the Caribbean for the week with stops in Cozumel, Grand Caymen, Jamaica, and Haiti. It was a wonderful bit of downtime before the Christmas rush is upon us. We both got plenty of reading done as well as the prerequisite eating every hour on the hour. Needless to say the diet starts today! This boat had a magnificent wine cellar, where we could get premium wines by the glass 24 hours a day. We even sat through some wine tasting classes!
In Haiti we had a private cabana on a hilltop (A portion of Haiti is a private island that Celebrity Cruises owns. It was totally awesome! The view was great and the cabana was wired with electricity and had a ceiling fan as well which was required for the hot weather. It was the kind of place where you could easily spend more than one day if given the chance.
I have attached a few pictures. Jackie was with me, honest, she just doesn’t think I take good pictures of her!
So as I write this we are waiting for the plane in Fort Lauderdale for our flight to Toronto. Of course, then we have the long drive back home to Kingston. Work awaits tomorrow morning but we are trying not to think about that right now.
I did get some workouts completed this week in the fitness centre on the boat as well as some open water swimming. In total I travelled 115kms during my training.
See you at the finish line…..
